Who I am

My name is Anoosh Omidi. I am a I am qualified hypnotherapist with training in psychotherapy, practising in the United Kingdom. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

For the purposes of data protection law, I am the data controller of the personal information you share with me. You can contact me here.

What information I collect

When you use the contact form on this website, I collect:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number (if you choose to provide it)

  • Any personal information you include in your message

I do not collect any information automatically through this website beyond standard analytics provided by Squarespace (see below).

How I use your information

I use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry

  • Arrange and conduct an initial consultation

  • Communicate with you about appointments or ongoing work, if we decide to work together

I will never use your information for marketing purposes, and I will never share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

The legal basis for processing your data

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), I process your personal data on the following bases:

  • Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry and provide the service you have requested

  • Contract — where we have agreed to work together, to fulfil that agreement

  • Legal obligation — where I am required to retain records for professional regulatory purposes

Where your message contains information about your health, this constitutes special category data under UK GDPR. I process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, given by choosing to share it with me, and for the purposes of providing health care.

How long I keep your information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an ongoing therapeutic relationship are deleted within 12 months of our last contact.

  • Where we work together, I retain clinical records for 7 years from the date of our last session, in line with UKCP guidance.

  • If you are under 18 at the time of treatment, records are retained until your 25th birthday, or for 7 years, whichever is longer.

How your information is stored

Your initial message is received via Squarespace's contact form system and delivered to my email inbox. Squarespace is a US-based platform that complies with UK GDPR through standard contractual clauses. You can read Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.

My email is hosted by Yahoo UK. I take reasonable steps to ensure my devices and accounts are secure, including password protection and two-factor authentication.

I do not use an electronic client management system. Clinical notes, where taken, are stored securely on a password-protected device.

Squarespace analytics

This website is built on Squarespace, which collects anonymous visitor data including pages visited, time on site, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It is used solely to understand how the website is used. You can opt out of analytics tracking via your browser settings or a cookie management tool.
